Target Clearance? Really?

I like Target, and I always have.  For some reason, though, sometime in the past five years I just stopped going there.  Although I now live closer than I did when I stopped going, I still haven’t gone.  And sometimes I miss it.

Assuming I wasn’t missing much as far as clothing goes, I decided to check out their online clearance section today.  I was shocked!  They actually have some cute stuff, and the clearance prices are ridiculously cheap.  Now I remember what I once loved about Target.

If you’re not convinced, check out some of my dirt-cheap finds:

Xhilaration Juniors Hi-Lo Knit Skirt  ~ $5.24

This one’s my favorite, and I’m definitely buying it!  They have other colors and prints, too, and there is a coral one that I’m also looking at.  Of course, the problem with clearance is that not all sizes are available for each style, and I don’t think the coral skirt comes in my size.  But this one is so cute, and since it’s neutral, I could wear it with any brightly colored top for summer!

Xhilaration Juniors Tie Bottom Top ~ $11.88

This one comes in other colors and prints, too, but I love this one.  I’ve been tying up all of my button up shirts lately, and this one is pre-tied for me!  The stripes add a bit of interest, as do the dolman sleeves, while the neutral colors allow for spring brights to be added elsewhere in the outfit.  This top looks like it would be soft and comfy, and I’m pretty sure I’m buying this one.

Josie Natori for Target Womens Valentines Day Cami/Short Pajama Set ~ $7.49

I could never get sick of pretty pajamas, but sometimes it’s hard to justify the high prices for something that you only wear in bed.  I found some very nice looking sets in Target’s clearance today for super cheap, including this Josie Natori Valentine’s Day set.  Yes, I know Valentine’s Day was a while ago, but come on, we’re saving money here!  And I wouldn’t be sharing it if it said Happy V-Day or had hearts all over it.  The only thing Valentine-y about this pair of pajamas is the name.

Mossimo Supply Co. Juniors Tunic Top ~ $11.48

While not a summer top, this shirt is great for spring with shorts or a mini.  There are other colors and prints, but I love this bird print the best, and the color is great.  I would want to try this one on before buying it, because the style could either be really flattering or really bad; however, the price is so good that I could take a chance on it.

Jason Wu for Target Short-Sleeve Tee with Tie ~ $16.08

Love, love, love this.  It’s so simple and classic, and creating an outfit would be super easy with this tee.  Although I must say, I’m already considering making a DIY based on this top.  Even for a non crafter, I don’t think it would be too difficult.  In the meantime though, or until I get a sewing machine, I’m happy buying this one from Target!

Mossimo Supply Co. Juniors Skinny Denim ~ $11.48

Jeans!  For 11 bucks!  And they’re cute!  Really, what’s not to love?  These have a good selection of colors and fades, but this one was my favorite.  I could wear skinny jeans every day, so these would definitely get $12 worth of use.  I’m not sure how buying jeans online would work, since I would want to try them on, so maybe I’ll need to take a ride to the actual store for these.  If they don’t have the exact ones I want there, I can just try on similar ones to get my size, then come back and order them online – genius!

Jason Wu for Target® Pleated Skirt ~ $20.98

While not as cheap as the others, I really like this skirt.  The flower print is good for spring, while the navy blue can be matched with any number of bright colors.  My favorite thing about it is the cut – high waisted, mid-thigh, and pleated.  Without even trying it on, I just know this skirt would be very figure flattering.

While these aren’t all of the cute things I found at Target, they are some of my favorite clearance clothes.  I’m just a clearance kind of girl!  I do realize that none of these things have any COLOR, which is so important this season, but they are all neutrals that can be worn with other bright clothes.

Looks like I’m adding Target to my shopping list now that I’ve rediscovered their cheap basics and outfit essentials.

What do you think of Target?  Have you gotten lucky with their clearance racks?

  1. Hi! I have to admit, I’m a Targetaholic!! I just can’t stop going there! But unfortunately our local Target has recently undergone a makeover, and they hardly have any clearance stuff any more! I mean, I used to go there and find clothes for the kids for $1.25 a piece…I would stock up on clothes for the following year and hardly pay a thing. Perhaps I shouldn’t have taken it for granted, because now there’s only one sad clearance rack, and it doesn’t seem to dip below 30% off.
Seriously, they must be shipping all the uber-clearance items to your store! LOL!
Anyway, I stopped by to hook up to your Linky…and I’m glad I did! I’m heading over to like your Facebook page! Enjoy the rest of your week!
